Hi everyone, 
I hope you’re all doing well!

On Friday June 5th, I’ll be playing my 30th show as BEASTS, and I’m moved by the fact that it’s happening in a place that’s so legendary to me.

Le Bois Du Cazier is our monument, to us Italians of Belgium. It’s our sanctuary: my grandfather litteraly left his country to break coal down there, and friends of my family died there.

I’m from Marcinelle, with the slag heaps as my playgrounds, where I built treehouses after school and got into my first mischiefs, just like my parents did before me.

I never would have imagined being able to have my music resonate in a place that embodies our collective memory so well.

BEASTS’ music is made up of old pictures, myths, and stories that have shaped me my whole life: the disaster, the clouds of smoke, and our grandmothers standing helpless in front of the gates lie among these.

Whatever happens, June 5th 2026 will remain forever engraved in my memory, as well as in that of BEASTS.
Let’s celebrate together the fire that still burns within us today!
